Jiddu Krishnamurti
Beyond all systems · direct seeing · What Is Meditation? · Freedom from the Known
The one who dissolved his own order and refused to be a guru. The most uncompromising voice of the path without a path.
The essence of the teaching: Truth is a pathless land; liberation comes not by method but by a choiceless choice of attention to the present, when the mind sees itself whole and is freed of the weight of the past.
Transmission
From childhood Krishnamurti was groomed to be a messiah – and in his maturity he dissolved the order built around him, saying: truth is a pathless land, I want no followers. He rejected every method of meditation, because a method is already the past, a habit, an accumulation. True meditation, he said, is not done – it happens, when the mind watches itself whole, without choice and without judgment. Do not fight a thought, do not suppress it – simply look. In this cool, unforced attention, time and fear themselves dissolve, and what remains is a silence no one produced.
