Vimala Thakar
Nonduality · in the spirit of Krishnamurti · The Nectar of Silence
The one who carried direct seeing and served the poor at the same time – silence without fleeing the world.
The essence of the teaching: True solitude and silence are not a withdrawal from people, but the ground of a real bond with life. Life is the supreme teacher; to hear it, you must stop wrapping it in words and concepts.
Transmission
Vimala Thakar heard Krishnamurti and lived through a deep inner turning, but she did not make a hermitage of it – she worked among the poor of India, carrying silence straight into the thick of life. She called stillness a nectar: a state of consciousness beyond thought and duality, one that brings wholeness and joy. Be truly alone, she said, without escaping into memories and worries – and in that solitude a deep bond with everything will open. Do not believe words, not even mine. Look at life without concepts and see its essence for yourself.
